The first 40 days after birth are often called the sacred window — a time when a mother’s body is healing and recalibrating after the profound birth journey. Our postpartum care packages support women with nourishment, education, and hands-on care inspired by Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda, and Western folk herbalism.

What’s included: 

Postpartum planning and partner preparation: Focusing on connection, education, and preparation. We work with you to clarify your needs, expectations, and preferences and design a care plan so you feel supported and confident in the weeks ahead. Partners are warmly encouraged to attend so the whole family moves forward with shared understanding.

Food as medicine – Foundational Support: In home visits providing freshly prepared, nutrient-dense meals with a strong focus on organic ingredients. Meals are warm, well-cooked and deeply nourishing, designed to rebuild blood, restore Qi, and support postpartum recovery.

The framework is rooted in traditional practices that include animal-based broths and tonics. Vegetarian adaptations may be discussed where appropriate.

Emotional and nervous system support: Supporting mother–baby bonding and maternal postpartum physiology and neuropsychology through grounding practices, and compassionate space-holding.

Postpartum recovery guidance: Drawing on principles of Zuo Yue Zi and other traditional postpartum practices, we guide you in building simple rhythms that prioritise rest, warmth, nourishment and connection.

In-home care and practical support: Tailored to your needs and may include light household support, local errands and shopping, gentle cranial massage, traditional warming practices, and birth story processing.
